Bungamati is 7km away from the kathmandu which is famous for the handicraft like wooden crafts, stone craft, handmade materials etc. Mostly Bungamati is famous for the wooden craft. About 80% of the local people of this village were sustained their life by involving in this field. The wooden craft of the Bungamati village is famous in all over the Nepal not only in this country, other country like France, Italy, China, Japan, & other asian, Europian countries. Mostly the people of this village were engaged as a contractor of foreign country like Japan & China. Recently, people of this village were working in Lumbini, Hetauda, Butwal etc. So, handicraft is the only one cause that the Bungamati is known as a tourism area. About 500 tourist were visit here in one day. Among the visitors, the number of tourist is highly increase from Italy & Japan.
