Machhindranath

Machhindranath the god of raining & kind. Machhindranath was form the kamrukamachhya. He was from the demons family. He is known as a god of grain. He save the people of this Kathmandu valley by providing food as well as the process of cropping the grain. Now a days, people celebrate jatra of Machhindranath called Machhindranath rath jatra. This jatra was celebrated by almost all people of Kathmandu, Lalitpur & Bhaktapur. This festival is celebrate every year which was Started from pulchowk, Lalitpur. The way of Machhindranath rath jatra is from pulchowk-Gabahal-Mangal Bazar- Sudhara-Lagankhel-Jawalakhel. This jatra is completed in jawalkhel. One day priest look the day to took the god in Bungamati. In that day, People of Bungamati lit a light to  pick up the god & put in the temple of Bungamati. After 4 days, people of patan, Bhaktapur & Lalitpur came to bungamati as a caretaker of Machhindranath (Bijari puja) & then complete the jatra.
